Eric Szeto is an investigative journalist who is passionate about telling stories that impact people’s lives.

He has experience in television, radio and print, and is currently a producer at Global News 16×9.

While at Global News, Eric has investigated a range of topics from Canada’s federal judicial appointments process to the environmental threats posed by shipwrecks.

His list of awards and scholarships include the 2012 Jack Webster Fellowship, and the 2009 CBC Vancouver News Scholarship. In 2008 he received the CBC Radio 3 Alexis Mazurin Award for his documentary The Death of North American Rave Culture

Educated in broadcast journalism at British Columbia Institute of Technology, Eric previously earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia. While attending UBC, Eric earned a solid foundation in journalism from Canada’s best university newspaper, The Ubyssey.
